This past Saturday was a great night at the Pheonix Room in Norfolk, NE. Awesome crowd, ice cold drinks and just a really good time. We were able to debut a new song too, which for now is titled “20 More Ways.”

We’re going to continue to play that new song and start adding a few others to our setlist at upcoming shows. Please let us know what you think of the new songs, we love to hear your feedback!

Thanks to everyone that made it to the Phoenix Room this weekend! It was good to see you all and we hope you had as much fun as we did! We have this weekend off but next weekend we’ll be in O’Neill, NE for their big St. Patrick’s celebration. Hopefully we’ll see some of you there!

We received word this week that we’ve been selected as the openers for Summerfest at Divot’s in Norfolk, NE on June 26th! Some of you may remember that we played at this show last year as well opening for Ivory Star, Eddie Money and Heart. This year is another great lineup with Night Ranger, Loverboy and Rick Springfield! The Rude Band will close the show. It’s gonna be a concert that you won’t want to miss!

We’re going to be playing 1 longer set to start the day off, then we’ll return to the stage after Night Ranger’s set to do a short set before Loverboy.

Kennedy’s was the scene of the latest Mr. Hand Rocktopia! It had only been about a month since our last stop there, but it was good to be back. There was a great turnout that included many friends, so you know we had a great time!

We must thank all those friends who came out! Some even drove as far as Sioux City!

We’ll be eagerly awaiting the return trip to Kennedy’s which will be on April 17th. See you then!

Get ready to rock!

It had been a few weeks, but we returned to the scene of the crime. The last time we were at The Depot was for New Year’s Eve and we were undeniably guilty of excessive drunkenness that night! This past weekend wasn’t much different and the great staff again aided and abetted us in our efforts to have a good time!

Thanks to everyone who made it out on a weekend with less than ideal weather conditions! We really appreciate it and enjoy rockin’ out and partying with you. Can’t wait to do it again!

We started covering this song last fall. We grew up, as most children of the 80’s, with Nena’s 99 Red Balloons firmly implanted in our brains thanks to radio and MTV. We were reminded of it and inspired by Goldfinger’s version of this song from a few years back, so we figured why not?

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep Mr. Hand from an appointment to rock! In fact we need to add freezing cold to that statement as well! We made the trip to Jo Jo’s in Pierce, NE this past Saturday thumbing our nose at the sub-zero temperatures and piles of snow because we knew that a good time awaited.

It was once again a fun night but we have to thank everyone who made it out. We really appreciate you braving the cold weather to spend an evening partying with us. Thanks to the staff at Jo Jo’s for taking care of us as well!

We kicked off 2010 with a show at Kennedy’s Irish Pub in Omaha, NE. This is hopefully the start of more shows to come in the Omaha area!

In fact we’ll be back at Kennedy’s on 2/27 and 4/17. Definitely put this bar and grill on your list to check out…especially when Mr. Hand is rockin’ the house!

We couldn’t think of a better way to ring in 2010 than to spend it rockin’ with our friends at The Depot in Norfolk, NE. And the night didn’t disappoint!

Happy New Year to all of you! Thanks for partying with us in 2009. We think 2010 will be a great year as we celebrate 15 years of Mr. Hand rocking the area!

A couple holiday parties, good friends and family all added up to a wild time at Rhonda’s Speakeasy this past weekend. We had great fun rockin’ and it was obvious that everyone is feeling the holiday spirit. Thanks to all who made it out and helped create such a fun atmosphere at Rhonda’s. We really appreciate it and can’t wait to see all of our Sioux City area friends again in 2010!
