Closing time

Posted By Mr. Hand on December 29th, 2015

“Closing time, every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end…”

Well friends, it has come time for us to turn out the lights. It has been an extraordinary 20 year run for this band. We are so thankful for the opportunities to perform at some incredible events and meet so many great people along the way.

We need to acknowledge the following “alumni” of this band – Larry Mortensen, Jeff Lickfelt, Jeff Conrad, Bret Nellor, Craig Verbeski, Mike Fitzpatrick, Drew Ehrisman and Reece Morse. What was started by Larry, Jeff, Jeff and Bret back in 1995, carried on through a few lineup changes but the original spirit and vision remained to the end. Also a big thank you to our wives and families, who without their support we wouldn’t have lasted 1 week let alone 20 years.

We also need to recognize Dan Haarmann and Chris Schoenberg, who served as our full-time soundmen at various points throughout the years.

Thanks all, take care and be good to each other.

Some important news

Posted By Mr. Hand on July 20th, 2014

Our singer and bass player Jeff Conrad has left the band in order to accept a new job. Unfortunately this new opportunity makes it impossible for him to continue with the band.

Conrad was a founding member of the band and gave 19 years of his time, energy and passion to this project. As you might imagine we’re extraordinarily sad to no longer make music with him. However, we fully understand and respect his decision.

Despite Jeff leaving, we are going to continue rocking with a little help from our friends. We have asked Drew Ehrisman (Evil Genius, Knuckle Deep, Shattered Fragments), Mike Fitzpatrick (Toy Boxx, Desperate Bandwives) and Ritchie Howard (Locked & Loaded, Going Nowhere) to fill-in for the remaining shows on our schedule. We really appreciate each of them stepping in on short notice to give us a hand!

Please help us wish Jeff good luck with his new adventure. And we’ll see you out and about real soon!

New Release “Second Start Acoustic EP” Now Available For Free

Posted By Mr. Hand on November 13th, 2013

Download our new digital only release “Second Start Acoustic EP” for FREE through Noisetrade.com. Simply click on the “FREE DOWNLOAD” button above or listen to the tracks by clicking the play button!

In 2010 we released our 5th album “Second Start“. During the writing and recording process of that album we always felt that it would be interesting to record alternate “unplugged” versions. Now 3 years later we’re finally realizing that idea with 3 songs from that album! Initially we had planned to only make these recordings available as a limited release to members of our mailing list. But based on the response and support from our fans, we decided to release this digital EP to everyone for free through NoiseTrade.

Tracklist:
1. 20 More Ways
2. Second Start
3. New Fix

Included in this digital EP you’ll receive the 3 song files and artwork.

If you like what you hear, we encourage you to share these songs with friends. Thank you!

Mr. Hand is taking an extended break

Posted By Mr. Hand on September 20th, 2011

Hello everyone!  Mr. Hand would like to let you all know that starting in January 2012 we are taking a break from performing.  We have no definite plans for how long or how short this break will be. Only that after 16 years of playing without any extended breaks, we sure could use it, and need a nice break.

We have some great shows lined up for the rest of 2011 at some of our favorite places and we hope that you’ll join us to celebrate the last 16 years. There are also some special things that we’re lining up for a few of these final shows. We’ll be sure to pass those plans along once they are confirmed.

Thanks again for your support over the years and the good times shared, see you soon!
